Thesis title: “Design of an Experimental Facility of the HFR Reactor to irradiate lithium ceramic materials in the frame of the blanket studies for the ITER project”
Overall grade: 97/100. Advisor: Prof. E. Sobrero

M.S., Mechanical Engineering, UCLA - June 2001
Major field: Heat and Mass Transfer
Minor fields: Applied Plasma Physics and Fluid Mechanics
M.S. Thesis title: "An experimental facility to investigate Flibe condensation and chamber clearing rate in inertial fusion reactors"
Overall GPA: 3.875. Advisor: Prof. M.A. Abdou

Current Ph.D. research activity:
Experimental investigation of the behavior of ionized vapors injected in a cooling chamber. The goal is to measure the condensation rate of materials that are related to the design of a liquid blanket for the protection of inertial fusion reactor chambers. The main candidate material is the binary molten salt flibe (66% LiF and 33% BeF2 in moles).
