Fusion Nuclear Science and Technology

Fusion Nuclear Science and Technology (FNST) is concerned with understanding how to control and utilize for tritium production and power extraction the neutrons emanating from burning plasma, how to create a nuclear-compatible physical environment in which the burning plasma can be created and sustained, and how the extreme fusion nuclear environment affects plasma chamber materials and system behavior.

Important Announcements:

  • The agenda and presentations for the FNST Meeting at UCLA (18–20 August, 2009) are posted here.

  • ReNeW Fusion Power and Plasma Material Interface themes had their community workshop at UCLA the week of March 2-6th, 2009. Renew Workshop presentations are posted here. ReNeW activities are posted here.
